Message from Pastor Tim
Thank you for visiting West River Friends website.
It is a privilege to be pastor here at the church and to greet you today. West River Friends is a church that can trace its beginnings back to 1825. And in September of 2025 we will celebrate our 200th birthday. The Spirit of the Lord has been alive here from the very beginning and continues to be active and energetic today.
We are a community-minded church. Jesus commands us to go out and serve others. We are constantly looking for ways to better minister to nearby Hagerstown, Indiana and our surrounding area. I invite you to visit us and become an active part of a Body of Christ exploring and learning new ways to improve ourselves through the teachings of Jesus.
As Christians we are called to live an inspired life. Communities today are suffering from inactivity and complacency. And as followers of Christ, we need to recognize what improvements we need to make. Our mistake is to remain on the sidelines and merely think of solutions. The first step is to work with like-minded people led by the Holy Spirit, actively pursuing a brighter future and a better understanding of God’s plan and purpose for each of us.
When we “live inspired” our hearts are filled with the joy of serving the Lord. Church is meant to be fun and exciting. Come join us for worship and good fellowship.
